I've had this result since forever and I don't know what to practice about it. Every 5 mins or so, the audio crackles and cuts out for a half-a-second or so when I'1000 using headphones through the controller. The DS controller is connected via blue-tooth to the ps4. It seems like information technology's some sort of bluetooth interference. Whatever tips?
btw, it seems to happen on all my headphones equally.

Sounds similar a bad cable or connector. I've dealt with a lot of headphones crackling when moved it slightly due to the connector wearing out or the cable going bad.
#3
I had this effect with the official two.0 stereo headset, Just crackling and no one else could hardly hear what i was saying over the mic. Tried a hard reset and everything....ended upwardly binning them in frustration
#4
yeah i had that issue. so i but plugged the ds4 straight to ps4 so i don't have to have any audio issue. don't call up i e'er tried to effigy it out myself.
#5
I constantly take this issue and I can't believe information technology's still a problem. Does this happen with bluetooth headphones connected to the console itself?
#6
Plug in your controller and see if that solves it. I have mine plugged in all the time because the DS4 add-on requires information technology for my paddles to office. But sometimes for movies I'll unhook it, and I'll go the annoying audio crackling until I plug it in once more.

I use the PS4 audio jack a lot and haven't noticed whatsoever crackling in my feel. Might exist a bad controller port or cablevision ?
#8
Could be port or the headphone cable.
#9
Happens to me a lot, I can solve it temporarily past pressing the tiny reset button on the back of the controller, or by just running everything through USB
#10
I had controller sound issues and ended up buying some sort of usb DAC blazon thing that plugs into the sound out on the back of the console.
#11
I can't say I've ever experienced this problem.
#12
Friend I have used the same headset for Xbox and PS4. When we play PS4 it's fine simply on Xbox he has this very problem. I call back it's more the hole the jack goes into cos otherwise it'd exist a trouble on both consoles.
#13
OP'southward problems audio actually bad compared to mine. I get crackle/interference occasionally and information technology's very random. If I'one thousand using the PS4 Chat mono headset in a political party it doesn't happen only if I use the audio out selection with headphones information technology will.
It's either an interference result or Sony issue as it'due south happened since launch day on both of my PS4's (Regular/Pro) and a plethora of controllers/headphones.
I've idea about buying a long 3.5 cable but the result isn't worth it just yet. It's still 1 of my favorite features on the system.
#xiv
It's usually the cable that is causing that. I swapped and it's gone.
#15
I don't know how helpful this is, merely it stopped doing this for me when I started using a USB cable and changing the console settings to allow advice over USB.
#16
Wasnt in that location an issue like this caused by iPhone headphones? Might not exist the same issue hither only I remember hearing that the way Apple tree set up up their headphone jack was dissimilar
#17
Have had a PS4 since launch and I can't say this a thing I've actually experienced.
Once in a while in that location might exist moments where the sound tin can cut out, but I've often noticed that happened when my phone was right side by side to my hands and the controller. I simply make sure I set my telephone artillery length abroad from me while I'grand playing a game.
#18
Happens with all the headphones I connected to the DS4. I recall it never happened with my Xbox. I retrieve it'due south a problem on Sony's side.
#19
Interestingly, I get this issue now and so when using the DS4 with the console. I don't accept whatsoever consequence while using the aforementioned controller with my PC (& the official BT dongle).

The addresses something I really desire with the PS5: The ability to just connect my damn headphones via Bluetooth.
Why exactly tin't nosotros practice this on PS4 again? It's insane.
#21
Make sure that there are no Bluetooth devices between DS and your PS. And as well it might also be WiFi interference, but I'm not entirely sure on that part
#22
I did notice that the audio sometimes cut off when using using the audio jack from controller, and I feel like that must the interference to Bluetooth where my phone and WiFi connexion all around me with their ain signals. I don't consider it to exist a bigger problem myself and I just live with information technology. At that place might be solution but I could not detect one.
#23
Take experienced the problem from time to fourth dimension (have used many different PS4's) and AFAIK connecting the newer V2 DS4 through USB and changing in organization settings -> controllers -> forcefulness controller data to be sent over USB exercise NOT solve the issues.
I recently switched to a ps4 pro and are eagerly planning to try out that dirt cheap DAC REIYIN on peak on amazon jp. A portable Korg DAC is one is on similar 75% sale but has no optilink and I really desire to try optilink. Just my main purpose for that is to get better sound with some cheap speakers compared to the pc monitor's 5w crap speakers I have to conform volume over through menu system :(

Great feedback. So, one possible solution is to connect the controller via USB. Do y'all merely use very long usb cables?
Is there any way to use blue tooth headphones and connect to the ps4 directly (not the controller)?

I use a +3m nylon braided skilful quality cord.
I take no experience of bluetooth all the same.
PS5 will nearly definitely have built in bluetooth support in the console and amend battery in DS5, then I hope playing with a continued cable volition be a thing of the by.

I used to have this consequence, and the simply affair that seemed to gear up it was having the controller wired to the PS4 or using a wired usb headset. Based on various stupid tests Involving two PS4s and a whole bunch of cables and controllers, the just thing I determined was that it was definitely caused by interference rather than faulty devices. Some time afterwards I ended upwards moving into a new identify and oasis't had any problems, despite using all of the aforementioned stuff, then I never did pinpoint exactly what was causing it.
#27
The only time I've ever had sound crackling was with a bad cable.
Have you tried using a dissimilar cablevision? What about a different controller?
#28
I took y'all a advice and bought a 10 ft usb for the ps4. It stock-still the event, so far haven't heard whatever cracklings.
#29
From my experience information technology'southward a bluetooth issue, ever since I started playing with the cablevision connected I've never run into the same consequence over again.
Cablevision is definitely the way to become hither, more responsive also.

If it cuts out at exact same interval then its a bluetooth interference issue. I had aforementioned issue with my QC35s, information technology would disconnect and reconnect to my phone every 10min. Turns out my PC was sorta sending handshake signal every 10mins causing the headphones to disconnect. One time I turned off PC bluetooth everything went dorsum to normal.
#31
I've... Never had this happen. Probably the cable though.

Hmm. Might look into this

information technology has to practise with bluetooth, some controller seem to have problems to handle the sound with bluetooth. information technology is not every controller though, merely some.
#34
Luckily (Knock wood) I have never had any trouble with PS4 Controller and connecting a wired headset to information technology.
Fifty-fifty the small dongle that came with the System never gave me any problems.
Which reminds me, they really need to give a proper headset (like Xbox 360 used to) for the PS5.. aforementioned with the Xbox Serial X.
If online is such a huge component, they need to include something that is good.
Although I never had an upshot with the dongle and used it a lot and still employ simply I now utilize the Gilt Serial Wireless Headset and they are simply As well Likewise Expert!

Firstly, apologies for the bump, simply I merely wanted to add that I've been suffering from this issue also. I've been plugging direct into my DS4s for the concluding few days, and experienced no issues whatsoever with one controller, and tons of issues (the same as others take stated in a higher place) with my other. Both are the V2 (if the V2 is the model with the light on peak of the touchpad).
It tends to occur when there's a lot of activity occurring (in my instance, doing some compensation hunting in Elite, tanking a load of ships and picking them off one past i).
Again, apologies for the bump, but simply wanted to add what I'd establish (one controller is fine, the other isn't).
#36
I have this issue with my DS4 besides. I tried turning off everything in my house that would cause interference and it still happens.
#37
Since this got bumped, this issue used to be something of a sore spot in my Dualshock 4 and Xbox Elite 2 usage.
Since new gen, I've had zero issues with the DualSense and the new Xbox controllers. Wondering if the claimed wireless improvements cleared this detail functionality up. I'g using the same 3.5mm cable and headphones as before but getting no crackling on either new panel.
